Terms of Use
Last updated: 26 June 2026
By using redlinedigest.com or subscribing to The Redline you agree to the points below. We have tried to keep them short and free of jargon.
Educational content, not legal advice
Everything we publish, including articles, guides, checklists, tool reviews, and the newsletter, is general information about software, productivity, and regulatory context. It is not legal advice, and reading it does not create a solicitor-client, attorney-client, or any other professional relationship between you and The Redline.
AI tools and regulatory guidance change frequently. Always check any tool or process against your own firm's obligations and your regulator's current guidance (for example the SRA in England & Wales, or your state bar and ABA Model Rules in the US) before using it with client data.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links to third-party tools on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy the product, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate revenue does not change our editorial assessment. We cover tools we believe are relevant to small-firm lawyers, we flag the ones we would not use with client data, and we say so even when those tools have an affiliate programme. Tools without an affiliate programme are included on the same basis as ones that have one.
Digital products and payments
Paid products (for example "The Lawyer's AI Toolkit") are sold and delivered through Gumroad. When you buy through Gumroad, your purchase is governed by Gumroad's terms and refund policy in addition to these terms. Payment is processed by Gumroad; we never see your card details.
Acceptable use
You are welcome to read, share, and quote our articles with attribution. Please do not republish whole articles, scrape the site at scale, or use our content to train a commercial AI model without written permission.
No warranty, limited liability
The site and the newsletter are provided "as is". We do not guarantee that any tool we mention is suitable for your specific practice, jurisdiction, or matter, and we are not liable for decisions you make based on our content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under English law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
